City pad

We live in a city appartment. It's not a box of a house though...quiet big, double storey with a balcony...And we have housemates too...infact we have 9 people living in the house. me and 8 boys. It doesn't feel so crowded though...and the boys aren't so messy which is good cos it's already quite intimidating living with a bunch of guys.

Moving from the silent suburban neighbourhood, the city can be very interesting. In the city you can hear different noises during different times of the day cos people are living so close to each other in appartment blocks separated by paper thin plaster walls, you could hear each other breathing. Sometimes there would be music playing. It's some sort of string instrument with a deep base either a cello or a double base I don't know. It's a strange type of music. It doesn't really have a tune, just a repetition series of bases constantly on repeat. And then there's the scottish bag pipe as well. I don't know where it's coming from but the music just seems to faintly float into the house on weekend afternoons. It's distant but it's definately there. Oh and did I mention we live across the road from the backpackers 'Nomads'? Well, our balcony faces directly opposite and every weekend night the party music would pump through the backpackers bar and straight into our lounge room. Very pleasant really. It might sound like a very noisey place. But actually it's quite a peaceful pad. You can't hear the traffic at all despite being in the city CBD, except for the sound of the occasional emergency vehicles that passes the city but I bet you could hear it anywhere in the city anyway. We always leave the double sliding doors open on the balcony and sometimes in the morning little birds would hop into the kitchen. It would take a tour around the lounge room and then hop out again. Quite pleasant really.

Bimbos...not me,the bar

Take a stroll down Brunswick St and you're sure to find plenty of good eats. One of the favourite places Kimchi and I go to is Bimbo Deluxe. The pizza's there are so good i could finish one all by myself...well almost. Here's some pictures to prove it:

This is some cheesy pizza with a name that i can't pronounce...all I know is that it has mozzarella, fetta, mascarphone and cherry tomatoes...the verdict: Kimchi loves it but but I find it toooo cheesy (but still really good!)
This is the Salmone...MY favourite!! everything abt it is good..the smoked salmon, baby spinach, and mozzarella cheese...how can u not fall in love with this pizza??

Can't remember what this one is called...but the previous two were just amazing but this one just didn't really stand out. It had potatoes, dill, and some other ingredients in it but i just can't remember...I probably won't roder this one again coz i've tried much better ones on the menu =)

SO...after a very yummy pizza dinner we went for a stroll around Brusnwick St. There's aways heaps of interesting things in that area.

so that was our day at Brunswick St...gourmet pizzas at only $4 ea (during lunch time)...we'll will definately go back :)
